There is a free recorder for windows called CamStudio that is available at SourceForge.net It is a basic recorder that renders to .AVI. It does not have all the features of Camtasia or Snagit but the price is right.

Hey Mike,

Just an FYI from flickr:

"Remember! Flickr Community Guidelines specify that if you post a Flickr photo on an external website, the photo must link back to its photo page."

I just noticed this when I was trying to get snagit to easily send photos to flickr.

~Shannon

p.s. I can't seem to get the flickr plugin to work with snagit. How do you send the screen captures from snagit to flickr?

I'm a newbie to video. I have Camtasia Studio (Free trial), do I also need Snag It? It looks like Snag It is a subset of Camtasia Studio. Possibly it's easier/quicker to fire off. I also have Jing but have only used it a couple of times. sounds like it has it's limits... I didn't see your video in your post.

Note: Careful with Jing. I added one video & ten days later I had exceeded my bandwidth and they stopped it.
