Install These Firefox Plugins
By Mike Mindel | July 31, 2007
Hi all,
Mike Mindel, co-founder of Wordtracker here. Joining in the Thirty Day Challenge as promised.
Firefox is the browser of choice this year. And about time!
Firefox is also my favorite browser, mainly because it hardly ever crashes. Just don’t install the Feedback agent. If you do, it’ll ask you for feedback & crash simultaneously. Do you think their feedback might be a little skewed?
Here are links to the Firefox plugins you need to install:
- Del.icio.us
bookmarks (tags and clever usage of tags are a great way to get free traffic) - SEO for Firefox
pulls in useful competitive marketing information e.g. Alexa. - Foxy Tunes
control any media player whilst surfing the web. - Google Notebook
requires a Google account. See notebook
plugin. Add notes to your web page. - Firebug
edit, debug CSS & HTML on the fly. Fantastic plugin. - Fleck
add a note to any page, send to friends and/or blog - Scribe Fire
write & post to your blog on the fly. - Search Status
to see how websites are performing. - Session Mgr
saves & restores your Firefox sessions when you close your browser. - Stumble Upon
end up at random, interesting sites. Great way to avoid work. - Twitterbar
post to twitter from your address bar and never do any work again. - Video Downloader
downloads YouTube (& other) videos from the web page.
All you gotta do is right click on each of the links above and open in a new tab. Then click on each tab and click Install. It’ll take like 10 minutes tops. Just do it. Be proactive. Get going. Stop talking yourself out of it.
What are you waiting for already?
-Mike

Hi Mike, Thanks for the notes. I tried to install Pamela and it wouldn’t install saying something about it only works on a USB or Flash drive. Does anybody know why that is?

I have all of these now except for videodownloader. It said it was in the sandbox, and even when I registered with Firefox, it still wouldn’t let me download it. Any recommendations on similar add-ons?
