Tip #1 - Search Wordtracker Right From Your Browser
By Mike Mindel | August 7, 2007
This is going to take you 30 seconds.
Head on over to the Wordtracker free keyword tool. (By the way: you see that blue text. That’s clickable that is).

You see that text on the bottom right that says ‘If you use Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2….’
Ok. Now click on the blue link that says ‘Wordtracker Keywords’.
Up pops a dialog box:

Click ‘Add’. The dialog box disappears.
Look on the top right hand side of your browser:

Click on the little drop down (the one with the black arrow pointing down) and you’ll see this:

Now select Wordtracker:

See the little W in the search bar:

That’s Wordtracker that is.
Enter your keyword, hit enter, and away you go:

Now you never have to type free keywords into your browser again.

That’s too cool, Mike!
The search option on Firefox is one of the tools I use most. Putting Wordtracker there is awesome! Love it!
Thanks,
Annie

Mike I got a problem.
In IE 7 it works beautifully as advertised. In Firefox 2 I am having troubles.
I click on link. Up pops the dialog box. I click it. But I can’t find the “web search” bit of my FF 2 toolbar. I can see the address bar. I have a number of other toolbars - like Google and Stumble and TDC toolbar but nothing with triangle and magnifying glass that has a drop down with search engines. Any ideas?

Hey Mike,
What an awesome tool. It will be a great time saver, so thanks.

August 7th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
I officially have more desktop area covered by toolbars than the search box! Oh well, another great tool, as always we appreciate it.
August 7th, 2007 at 8:52 pm
Get out of town! That’s wonderful that you added tht right up there where it is IN YOUR FACE un-missable.
Cheers!

Mike,
I really appreciate your notes and now this tool. But I’m having trouble. I’ve tried several times today to click on “Wordtacker Keywords” and nothing happens. Nothing! I’ve left the page and come back several times. Nothing! Firefox is upgraded. Any other advice for me??

Hi Mike
It looks a great tool - thanks. However I get an error message saying that an engine with the same name already exists. Any idea what has happened?
Thanks

If you get that error message it means you’ve already installed it. Just look on the drop down for the blue W and select it.
