Tip #18 - Lose the WordPress SnapShot Previews
By Mike Mindel | August 23, 2007
WordPress SnapShot previews are so annoying!

Aaaarrrgghh! How do I get rid of them !?
They’re driving me mad and registering unwanted clickthroughs on the TDC Stats Tracker
Right! To the Dashboard on WordPress

then to the Presentation tab

then Extras

There’s the culprit!

Bye!

Update

Ahhh.
That’s better.

Yes, that’s much better!
Thanks for the tip Mike.
Question: I know that WordPress has built in stats but do you know how to insert other tracking code (like StatCounter)? I couldn’t find a place to put them - did you?
Cheers,
Jonathan

Hey Kids! We discovered Snap Shots to be a teriffic tool for digging through all the social media. As an efficienct resource product we find it isn’t harmful to the environment and allows us to Twitter for our Google gourmet Gmail BETA. To: FAENZA

Hosted WordPress has its own stats page built in. I’ll investigate StatsCounter shortly.

The snapshots only show up if you are on a wordpress hosted site… your own server and install of WP won’t have this issue.
